As per XDA Developers, Google is shifting to the iOS widget stack approach. According to Xda Developers, they have found something interesting while digging into the Android 12 developer preview.
As per Xda Developers, Google has added iOS-Esque widget stacks support in Android 12. The Smart stack widget will include all your favourite applications in one place just like a folder. For instance, users will not be needed to click on the folder then choose the app. Instead of that, users will be able to open apps from the square-shaped folder by just sliding. However, everything is not confirmed yet.
