Apple is Planning to Manufacture iPad in India

2021 is going to be a big year for India, many companies are going to invest in India and are establishing their Manufacturing unit in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a $6.7 billion plan to boost India’s smartphone exports and made efforts to promote electronics manufacturing in India which will create jobs. Apple is planning to manufacture its iPad in India, the previous year they started manufacturing iPhones in India. It seems in the future they will start manufacturing all their products in India.

Indian Government is preparing to unveil another incentive to start the manufacturing of local IT products like tablets, laptops, and servers. The sources said the new performance-linked incentive (PLI) will offer cashback to manufactures to export, will have a budget of up to 70 billion rupees ($964.5 million) over five years.
