After witnessing all the weird and amazing gadgets at the CES 2019, Canon also announced their 8K capable camera that could launch soon. Top product planning executive Yoshiyuki Mizoguchi confirmed in an interview with Imaging Source that “an 8K video-capable camera is already in our EOS R-series roadmap.”
There were mixed opinions about this news as Canon was not stable with the EOS M50, their first mirror less 4K camera. The company was quite late with the mirror less 4K technology as they launched it in the early 2018, quite later than the other companies. Also, the 1.8x crop factor made it difficult for the users to take those great wide angle shots. There were other issues, too.
Canon says it wants future models to occupy positions below and above it in the lineup. We are quite sure that this time Canon would not launch a stumbling camera with issues in it but with the great quality they are known of. Mr. Mizoguchi also mentioned that they are going to launch the camera soon but this would not be their next product. “Have no doubt that a professional model is coming, but perhaps it may not be the next model we introduce,” he said. Let’s now wait and watch what this camera does, “Wonders” or “Issues”!!!
