Honor 9X With Kirin 810 Is All Set To Launch On this date in China

A new mid-range smartphone by Honor called Honor 9X along with its big brother Honor 9X Pro is going to launch on July 23 in China. As the name suggests it is the successor of Honor 8X. Around 15 Million units of 8X are sold globally and it is one of the fastest-selling smartphones by Honor. The Honor 9X packs the latest HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC. The new mid-range Huawei Nova 5 also comes with this processor. In this article, we are going to talk about Honor 9X specifications and Honor 9X India launch date.

Honor 9X Specifications

This time Honor is launching two smartphones named Honor 9X and 9X Pro. It is very similar to the Honor 8X and 8X Max. However, Honor is using “Pro” word this time instead of “Max”. Let’s talk about what we can expect from Honor 9X and 9X Pro.

Design

Honor 9X Leaks

Talking about the design the leaked images shows that it will have a glass back panel with of course gradient back panel. The Honor 8X is a good looking device and we can expect some kind of similar design on Honor 9X too. The camera placement is on top left corner vertically. The Honor 9X Pro will have X gradient back panel.

The below images are tweeted by Mukul Sharma. We can see a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Honor 9X might come with an LCD panel and the in-display fingerprint sensor only works with AMOLED Panel.

As per the rumours, Honor 9X will come with an IPS LCD Display, no AMOLED here. The screen size will be 6.59-inches. Also, the Pro variant will share the same screen size. What about notch? There is no confirmation about it as of now. A leak suggests that the Honor 9X Pro will have a full view display all thanks to the pop-up selfie camera. Processor

So the Honor 9X will be powered by Kirin 810, the latest midrange chip by Huawei. If we compare this chip then it is somewhere around the Snapdragon 730. It is based on the new Da-vinci architecture and it is a 7nm chip. Also, the dedicated NPU will help in better Artificial intelligence. At this moment it is not clear whether both phones will have the same processor or not. But it seems like 9X and 9X Pro both will come with Kirin 810 considering the fact that it is a very powerful processor. The base variant might come with 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage and there might be a variant with 8+256GB option.

The gaming performance of Honor 9X will be great because Kirin 810 is a very powerful SoC. Honor might launch a game controller along with the 9X lineup as the poster suggests. GPU Turbo 3.0 will also boost the overall gaming performance.

Camera

Honor 9X will feature dual rear camera while the 9X Pro will feature a triple-camera setup on the back. The 9X Pro will have 48MP Sony IMX582 primary lens, an 8MP superwide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The regular Honor 9X will not have a wide-angle lens. On the selfie side, both the phones will feature a 16MP sensor. It is not confirmed yet. Few software features such as Super Night Mode will be also present.

Battery Life

The Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro will have a 4,000mAh battery. Also, the USB Type-C is confirmed. The regular Honor 9X supports 10W fast charging while the 9X Pro will support 22.5W Fast charging.

Software

On the software side of things, it will run on EMUI 9.1 on top of Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The 9X might come with an LCD panel and so we can expect a physical fingerprint sensor and more likely we will see a side-mounted fingerprint sensor which is something new for Honor.

Honor 9X Price

The pricing is not confirmed yet. As per the rumours, the Honor 9X Pro will cost somewhere around 18-25k while the regular Honor 9X will cost around 15k. It is just early guessed and we will update this article whenever new information is available.

Honor 9X India Launch Date

Honor is launching its 9X series on July 23 in China. The Honor 9X India launch date is not confirmed yet but we can expect that Honor will launch this new mid-range smartphone in India after a week or two of the China launch.
