List of Xiaomi Phones that will receive Android Pie Updates

Android Pie is here, and it’s LIT! And almost every smartphone maker out there planning to roll out the update to its devices. Xiaomi has a bunch of smartphones available in the market. But the question is how many of them are going to get the latest android update. Well to answer this question, we made a list of all the Xiaomi devices that are going to get the Xiaomi Android Pie Update.

First of all, Let’s talk about Mi 8. Which is one of the best flagship devices ever from the home of  Xiaomi. The smartphone was launched in May 2018, and it packs 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Xiaomi launched the Mi 8 with the Android Oreo operating system. However, now it will also receive the Android P update or Android Pie update. Although there is no confirmation that we have received from the company’s end, the reports seem to be accurate.

Mi Mix 2 Android Pie 9.0 Update

Mi Mix 2 is another smartphone that is going to get the Android P update.
The device falls under the flagship category and has some pretty high specs. The smartphone was launched in September 2017. It comes with 6GB of RAM and packs 128GB of internal storage out of the box. The company launched the device with Android 7.1 (Nougat) along with MIUI 9. Also, it managed to get the Android Oreo update. However, now it is all set to receive the Xiaomi Android 9 Update.

Mi Mix 2s Android Pie 9.0 Update

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is also one of the recently launched. Xiaomi made the device official in March 2018. Also, it falls under the flagship device that comes with the 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Also, it sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 soc. It also runs on the Android 7.1 (Nougat) along with MIUI 9. Plus now it will also receive the Android P Update.

Mi A1/ Mi 5x Android Pie 9.0 Update

Mi A1 Xiaomi’s first Android One smartphone which is also launched as the Mi 5X in some countries going to get the latest Android update. The Mi A1 smartphone was launched in September 2017. On the other hand, the Mi 5X smartphone was launched in July 2017. Also, the Mi A1 was launched with the Android 7.1.2, and Mi 5X was launched with Android 7.0. These two devices managed to get the Android Oreo update. Plus now the company is all set to push the Xiaomi Android P Update to the Mi A1, as they have announced it previously as a part of Android One program, but we’re not sure about Mi 5x.

Mi A2 Android Pie 9.0 Update

Xiaomi Mi A2 smartphone was launched in July 2018 and it is the successor of Mi A1. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The company launched the smartphone with the Android 8.1 Oreo and it is a stock android device. Thanks to Google’s Android One Program. Also, it will receive the Xiaomi Android 9 Update.

Redmi Note 5 Pro/Redmi Note 5 Android Pie 9.0 Update

The Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Note 5 is 2018’s note series smartphone. Both of these devices were launched in February 2018 in India. The global variant of Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Redmi Note 5 AI was launched soon.

Redmi Note 5 Pro is currently running Android Oreo 8.1.0 and would be receiving Xiaomi Android Pie update. As it’s global variant launched with Android Oreo in China and is scheduled to get Android Pie as part of the promised one Android version update from Xiaomi. But it’s not the same case with Redmi Note 5 Indian version, as the phone is yet to get Android Oreo update yet and is unlikely to receive Android P as two Android version updates aren’t promised for the phone.

Redmi Note 4 Android Pie 9.0 Update

The Redmi Note 4 was the last year’s note device. The company launched the device in January 2017, and it came with the Marshmallow 6.0.1 OS. Later the device had received the Android 7 update. But like every other Redmi Note device, the phone will be receiving only one Android version update and will not be updated to Xiaomi Android 9 update.

Redmi 6 Pro/Redmi 6 Android Pie 9.0 Update

Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi 6 is also one of the recently launched devices. The smartphones were also launched in June 2018. The phone was launched running the last year’s Android version Android 8.1 Oreo. The phones will also get the Xiaomi Android Pie update.
However, it is still unclear when the company is planning to roll out the update.

Redmi 5/Redmi 5 Plus Android Pie 9.0

Redmi 5 & Redmi 5 Plus smartphone were launched in December 2017, and it is one of the entry-level devices of the last year. Xiaomi launched the device with the Android 7.1.2 and is yet to receive Android Oreo till now. As all Redmi series of phones, this one will not be getting Android Pie update as there’s only one Android version upgrade.

Redmi 5A Android Pie 9.0 Update

The Redmi 5A is also one of the entry-level smartphones that were launched last year in October 2017. The phone as of now running on the same Android 7.1.2 operating system.
This phone will not be receiving any Android Pie update from Xiaomi, but MIUI updates will continue. Xiaomi Redmi 4 is one of the older smartphones that is going to receive the Android P update. The device was launched in November 2016. Xiaomi launched the device with the Android 6.0.1 operating system.

The phone will not be getting Android Pie 9.0 update.
