Samsung Exynos 1080 Announced: Check Device Lists



Samsung announced its new Exynos 1080 chip with Cortex-A78 and Mali-G78 GPU. Samsung Exynos 1080 is said to be more powerful than Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 875. Samsung Exynos 1080 is a 5nm chip. The Samsung Exynos will replace Cortex-A77 with its predecessor Cortex-A78. According to the reports, ARM’s Cortex-A78 runs at 2.1GHz, which gives 20% more performance. Samsung Exynos 1080 devices are still a mystery but Vivo has already signed for the new Samsung Exynos 1080 chip for its X series phones as reported by Ice Universe. The news of Samsung Exynos 1080 was given by Dr. Pan Xuebao, Director of Samsung Semiconductor Research Institute of China. Samsung is going to build on the 5nm process just like the upcoming Apple’s A14 chip followed by the Snapdragon 875, Kirin 9000, and Exynos 2100.

Samsung Exynos 1080 Specification

Samsung Exynos 1080 comes with ARM’s Cortex-A78 which gives 20% more performance than the Cortex-A77 where Mali-G78 gives 25% more performance than the G77. Samsung is not only working on 5nm chips but also going to use the chips in its Upcoming Flagship Samsung devices. Samsung Exynos 1080 benchmark score comes around 6,50,000+ which beats the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865+.

Samsung Exynos 1080 Devices List

There are no official leaks or reports that in which devices Samsung Exynos 1080 is going to use but Vivo has already signed for it. It is being assumed that Vivo is going to use this chip in its X series devices (e.g. Vivo X60). However, there is no news of any other brand to use the new Samsung Exynos 1080 chip. This chip is not for Flagship devices for that Samsung is preparing its new 2100 5nm chip which in the future comes in their flagship model’s but this is going to come in mid-high-end devices.

Samsung Exynos 1080 Launch Date in India

There is no official statement by the company when they are going to release their new products with this new chip. It can be assumed that they are going to launch this chip next year with some new devices. Where the Samsung Exynos 2100 can be seen in their Samsung Galaxy S21 devices and other Brand’s smartphone’s too.
