OriginOS Update
Vivo had introduced its OriginOS at the Developer Conference in China. Vivo has made some tweaks and also added some new advanced features in the new OriginOS. According to Vivo, they have added features that will help in their daily tasks such as Atomic Notifications, Sky Window, Huarong Grid, and much more exciting features. Let’s have a look at each OriginOS Features.
OriginOS Features
Atomic Notification
Atomic Notification refers to displaying notification straight on the application. The notifications will appear in a small size as the name suggests. Users will be able to see notifications without opening the application, which will reduce the interaction time of the user. Moreover, the notification panel will include a few useful controls such as Nano Music Player by which users would be able to play/pause the music.
Huarong Grid
In the new OriginOS, Vivo has added a new Huarong Grid. Huarong Grid gives feasibility and freedom to add more useful elements in the notification panel itself. The Huarong Grid has been inspired by a video game called Huarong Road. The Huarong Grid will be helpful for users to access more features from the grid itself. We have already viewed this kind of functionality in other Operating Systems as well.
Sky Windows
One of the prominent features in the OriginOS launch was the Sky window. The Sky Window works as phenomenal live wallpapers. It will show real-life natural phenomena. For instance, the shape, size, and density of a cloud would be the same as they look in real life, or we can say as current. Even, it will showcase the speed of clouds and winds.
Weather App
The new OriginOS will come with an optimised presentation of the weather app. It will show the temperature information that users are most concerned about in the form of a temperature line. For instance, if the temperature rises, then the temperature will go upward and respectively. The weather app will display the temperature of the day in 90 different colour values. We can also say them the temperature colour card so that users would be able to observe the changes in the temperature.
Multiple Gestures
Origin OS comes with twenty-six new useful gestures. Users will be accessible these gestures from the bottom of the display. Vivo has also pushed a new feature with the Origin OS, known as SuperCard. SuperCard will allow users to process mobile payments in a single swipe gesture, even when the display is off.
Nearby Sharing
Vivo’s new OriginOS is bringing the Nearby Sharing feature. It will allow users to share the resources without any need of specification application with a lot of third-party devices.
New Icons
Now Origin OS will allow users to customise the icons as their wants. In the press conference, Vivo had showcased the OriginOS rounded icons on the home screen and the square ones in the app drawer.
Vivo OriginOS Behavioural Wallpaper
OriginOS Behavioral Wallpaper is one of the most exciting features of the Vivo OriginOS. Behavioural Wallpaper will every time showcase a flower that will bloom with every step we will take. Vivo claims that each petal has its separate algorithm. Whenever we walk/run/jog, it will open gradually. We can also say that the flower is an illusion, but it looks so realistic and adorable. Each petal is well detailed and looks realistic. The users will be able to set the Behavioral Wallpaper from the wallpapers setting itself. The wallpaper seems so dynamic, and the blooming process starts every time we lock the screen. However, no news will be available only to Flagship or all the devices as well.
Vivo OriginOS Multi-Turbo 5.0
This time Vivo has introduced a new Multi-Turbo 5.0 feature, which will focus on optimising the memory. So, that users will not face any memory consumption-related issues. They would be able to use 12GB of memory as 15GB of memory. According to the OriginOS microblog, in Multi-Turbo 5.0, Vivo has added three new technologies which are memory fusion, process optimisation, and application preloading. The primary task of all three technologies is to improve the device speed for a better user experience. Moreover, they have also performed some tweaks with the RAM and ROM of the devices. Process optimisation will deliver in-depth control to users to reduce memory usage. This will reduce the memory consumption for 100-200M system operations. The Application Preload will reduce the loading time of the application to increase the users’ experience.
