RBI Denies the Rumor of Rs. 5, 10 and 100 Notes to be out of Circulation

Recently, the news was being circulated on all social media platforms saying that Rs. 5, 10, and 100 notes will go out of circulation after March-April this year. Several media publications have reported that the Assistant General Manager of the Reserve Bank of India, B Mahesh stated at District Level Security Committee and District Level Currency Management Currency meeting that Rs. 5, 10, and 100 notes will go out of circulation as RBI has planned to withdraw them by March-April.

When this was heard by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), an official denied the news and said that they have no such plans and defined it as fake news.
