Redmi K20 Pro Performance, Storage & Hardware Analysis
Xiaomi Redmi 20 Pro boasts the flagship-level 7nm Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 chipset. Moreover, the chipset in this flagship killer is powered by an Octa-core Kryo 485 setup CPU and Adreno 640 for GPU. Redmi K20 Pro mostly doesn’t lag – except when it does. Yes, even with such impeccable chipset, K20 Pro has certain flaws because of its UI. We’ll get to it in later sections.
Redmi K20 Pro sports a feature focused entirely on improving the gaming experience. This feature, the second-generation Gaming Turbo, not only boosts speed and power of the phone but also lets a user customise touch response and similar stuff.
Gaming Turbo is not Xiaomi’s only attempt at digging into the fellow gamers’ pockets. Redmi K20 Pro also has an 8-layer graphite cooling system with bi-directional heat dissipation. The setup is meant to keep the device cool while performing high-end activities. We didn’t notice any significant heating issues on K20 Pro as such, though it did get a little warm.
The top model of Redmi K20 houses a RAM of 8GB & a ROM of 256GB. The other variants are 8GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 6GB+64GB. The memory in each of these is non-expandable, meaning there are no SD card slots.
Redmi K20 Pro Battery Life & Stock Analysis
A Li-Po 4000mAh battery unit stocks Redmi K20 Pro. Even though the number sounds menial compared to Realme X’s 5000mAh stock, Redmi K20 Pro gives a stately battery backup. K20 Pro can go on for over a day on a single charge even with several functionalities in use.
Even though an 18W charger accompanies K20 Pro in its box, the flagship killer can support QC4+ 27W fast charging. The QC4+ helps the battery charge to up to 58% in merely 30 minutes.
Redmi K20 Pro Operating System & UI Analysis
The stunning smartphone comes with Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 & Android 9.0 (Pie.) Interestingly, Redmi K20 & K20 Pro do not have the widely-hated, annoying ads in their UI, unlike several other Xiaomi phones of the recent.
RIght when the phone begins to seem flawless in every manner, we sadly have to bring you the bad news. As we discussed in the Performance section, this phone has minor lagging issues in the UI. The most eminent instance of this problem is the Camera’s portrait mode, where we observed frequent tardiness. Not cool, Xiaomi!
Redmi K20 Pro Camera Analysis & Samples
Redmi K20 Pro features a triple rear camera – primary wide 48MP sensor, telephoto 8MP sensor, and ultrawide 13MP sensor. Features like Dual-LED flash, HDR & panorama are available. One can record video of quality up to 2160p@30/60fps.
The output quality of rear cameras is formidable, and there aren’t any major noticeable flaws (except in the UI of the camera, of course.) Following are a few pictures we took.
The motorised 20MP pop-up selfie camera in Redmi K20 Pro is not up to the mark. Although some selfie-obsessed folks might like it, the front camera doesn’t produce satisfying images overall. Though, the pop-up mechanism in Redmi K20 Pro is very attractive. The pop-up selfie camera has unique LED lights that look engaging. HDR is available, and 1080p@30fps is the highest video quality. You will find some pictures taken from the selfie camera of K20 Pro attached.
