Qualcomm has launched its brand new Snapdragon 855+ processor for late 2019 phones. All the brands are now coming with “Pro” variants, and it’s time for Qualcomm to dive into the flow! It’s not a major upgrade for which you’ve to update your device, but if you were planning to buy a regular 855 device, you might want to wait a bit. Snapdragon 855+ is a gaming-focused and enhanced version of the regular Snapdragon 855. Let’s have a quick look at this Snapdragon 855+.

Snapdragon 855+ specifications:

Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ is an overclocked version of the regular Snapdragon 855. The most important features you need to know about the brand new Snapdragon 855+ is briefed below for your ready reference.

  1. Snapdragon 855+ connectivity: 5G mmWave and sub-6 GHz mobile solution. 2 Gbps LTE modem including 7x Carrier Aggregation.

  2. Snapdragon 855+ WiFi: Qualcomm Wi-Fi 6-ready and Qualcomm 60 GHz Wi-Fi mobile platforms provide Wi-Fi connectivity for the 5G-era, boosting performance in traditional 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands, as well as harnessing the potential of the 60 GHz mmWave band for double-digit wireless speed and wire-equivalent latency.

  3. Snapdragon 855+ Image and Video: HDR10+ mobile video capture and playback for imagery with even more contrast and detail. Also, it supports 4K HDR Video Capture with Portrait Mode (Bokeh) and Multi-Frame Noise Reduction (MFNR) software which delivers sharp and color photos even in low light. Computer Vision ISP (CV-ISP) delivers real-time object recognition, segmentation, and replacement to allow users to isolate and swap out backgrounds and objects– in real-time.

  7. Snapdragon 855+ Voice Assistant support: Qualcomm Hexagon Voice Assistant accelerator supports two wake words simultaneously. It has complete support for Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Baidu, and Cortana.

  8. Snapdragon 855+ Face Unlock: Qualcomm® 3D Face Recognition is a highly detailed and sophisticated identification solution. It uses a 3-camera system to capture a 3-dimensional image of your face. Compared to the 2-dimensional face scans currently in the industry, this method of identification is designed to support superior performance and higher accuracy.
