Xiaomi Mi AirDots Pro – Cheap Apple AirPods Alternatives

Xiaomi has launched a new pair of Bluetooth earbuds in China called the Xiaomi Mi AirDots Pro. Previously, in November, Xiaomi launched the Mi AirDots Youth Edition for approx $30, but these products are not available to buy globally. You can buy from Chinese websites and they will provide you with a Chinese variant of the product. Anyways, The new Mi AirDots Pro is currently available in China priced at CNY 399 (Rs 4,000/$60 approx). At the first impression they look alike Apple AirPods but they are very different in price, build and design too.

Mi AirDots Pro Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi AirDots Pro comes in a case which works as a charger of AirDots too. You just to have place Mi Airdots inside. You can charge the case with USB Type-C charger. In terms of durability, the earbuds weigh only 5.8 grams and completely made of rubberized material for a better user experience while in use. It comes with Bluetooth 4.2, support AAC codec for enhanced audio and is IPX4 water resistants.

The buds boast 7mm neodymium iron boron drivers in addition to the titanium-plated diaphragm for improved frequency response. The AirDots Pro also comes with (ANC) active noise cancellation for improved sound and call quality.

Compatibility

Mi AirDots is Compatible with both Android and iOS devices, as well as with Windows Laptops and PCs.

Both the right and left earbud can function freely of each other providing a true hassle-free sound experience. Remove any single one from the ear and the second one will work in unilateral mode and the two headsets can also be shared between two friends without loss of audio quality.

Touch Control

Xiaomi Mi AirDots comes with touch controls that allow for changing music, taking calls, and invoking the voice assistant. The previous variant of Mi Airdots does not have some options, users can only Pause/Play music with one tap, and double tap command supports Google Assistant.

Battery Life

Mi Airdots comes with a 100mAh battery, The company claims that they can go up to 10 hours on a single charge and be fully charged in one hour. The previous version has the same 100 mAh battery, but the playing time was 12 hours on a single charge. Seems like Mi AirDots Pro can perform much better than on paper specification.

Availability
