Prepaid Recharge via WhatsApp on Jio

A few days ago Jio has launched its WhatsApp bot that gives you some handy features on the go. You just need to save the number 7977111111 in your contacts with your preferred name. This will give you assistance 24/7, whenever you need it.

How to Recharge Jio Using WhatsApp

After you save the number you need to follow the steps below to recharge your number:

  • Open WhatsApp and refresh contacts.
  • Now search for that saved number bot which we said to save.
  • Send a ‘Hi’ message to the number. You will receive a reply.
  • If your WhatsApp is registered with the same Jio number then you will get a welcome message with your number mentioned.
  • Now you have to tap on the ‘Main Menu.’ Here select the ‘Jio SIM recharge’ and tap ‘SEND’.
  • Now select ‘Jio Mobile Recharge’ and tap View all plans -> SEND.
  • Then you can recharge as per your plan selection and reply with 1,2,3.
  • Then select ‘Recharge Now’ and press ‘Continue’ on the prompt.
  • You will be redirected to the webpage for further payments.
  • On the other hand, if you are not using WhatsApp with a Jio number you can send ‘MOD’ -> ‘Change’ -> Mobile Number.
  • Then proceed from Step: 5.

Prepaid Recharge via WhatsApp on Vi

Vi also provides a WhatsApp bot to get services as per your need. For Vi, you need to save the number 9654297000 in your contacts as per your preferred name. Now you can follow the steps below to perform a recharge.

How to Recharge Vi Using WhatsApp

  • Open WhatsApp and refresh contacts.
  • Now search for that saved number bot which we said to save.
  • Send a ‘Hi’ message to the number. You will receive a reply.
  • You will receive a message asking what you want to explore, Prepaid, Postpaid, Join Vi Family.
  • Select ‘Prepaid’ for recharge or Postpaid for bill payment.
  • You will get a list of services that you get from the Vi WhatsApp bot.
  • Send ‘2’ for recharging, it will ask you that if you want to recharge for the same WhatsApp number or change it.
  • To change send ‘2’ or to continue to send ‘1’.
  • After changing you will need to verify your number via OTP.
  • Once verified you can browse plans and recharge online.

Currently, Airtel has not opted for WhatsApp bot services. So it does not offer any services as of now. However, you need not worry as we will update this article as soon as Airtel gets in.
