Samsung Electronics has announced the global launch of AirDresser, an innovative home appliance. This AirDresser uses powerful air and steam to remove dust and germs and also cleans and sanitizes the clothes without the use of water. Jennifer Song, the Vice President of the Digital Appliances Business, Samsung Electronics said, “AirDresser is Samsung’s response to consumer demand for more dynamic performance from even basic appliances, providing an easy and effective home solution to meet their needs for clean clothes that smell fresh, are germ-free and look neat.”  We have seen this type of home dry cleaning appliances like LG Styler ($1,999) and Whirlpool Swash($500) in past. And now Samsung has come up with the AirDresser which targets the audience the same as the LG Styler, so we can expect somewhat similar pricing.

How Does It Work?

The Jet Air and Air Hangers release powerful air which loosens the clothes and also removes the dust from it. The JetSteam increase temperature inside the AirDresser which kills organisms like Bacteria, Viruses, Allergens etc. This way the sterilization process occurs. Not just that but Deodorizing Filter breaks the odour-causing particles and removes the odour from clothes.

Interestingly, the Self Clean technology dehumidifies, sanitizes, and deodorizes the cabinet of the machine which means there is no need to manually cleaning the AirDresser. Additionally, it notifies users whenever it needs cleaning every 40 cycles.

There are different modes to clean different types of fabric. For example, Heatpump Drying dries the clothes at a low temperature which reduces the heat damage. In Wrinkle Care mode, it smoothes out wrinkles without ironing by using a combination of steam and air. The Quite Mode is useful at night which cleans the cloth overnight without making any noise

Samsung AirDresser is an easy, time and cost-saving mode of cloth cleaning. It does not use the water and one can wear the cloth again without worrying about the odour or hygiene.
