Android 13 Beta 3 takes it to Platform Stability, meaning that the developer APIs and all app-facing behaviours are normal. If you own a Pixel device then you can try out the latest Android 13 Beta 3, and if you have already enrolled you should check for updates. Now without doing any more delay let’s dive into the article.
Android 13 Beta 3 Features and Improvements
Themed App Icons
Android 13 will bring preset colour variants so you can easily style the apps. It is also going to bring dynamic colour functionality so that the app can change its colour scheme based on wallpapers.
Notification & Permissions
You will get the ability to assign app permissions if it can send notifications. So you can prevent notification spamming by apps to keep yourself away from distractions. App developers can tune their apps to ask for nearby Wi-Fi networks without asking for location permission. This will keep users safe from giving their location unwillingly only for Wi-Fi access. Android 13 will also give you access to allow apps to ask for audio, music and video permissions separately. Apps will also have to ask for specific permissions if they are using a sensor like heart rate or temperature in the background.
Photo & Video Picker
Android 13 will also bring the Photo and Video Picker which only allow the app to access the Photo or Video you want to share with the app without giving them access to the whole gallery.
Google is going to bring the Language Picker feature which will allow users to set different languages on each app. You can set the different languages on an app without changing the system language.
Larger Screen Support
Android 13 is going to bring updates for larger screens like Tablet and Foldables where it will be easy to switch between apps or use two apps using a split-screen.
So these are all the upgrades and new features that have currently been rolled out with the Android 13 Beta 3 update.
