There is a lot of competition between brands for launching value smartphones under a budget and as a result, the budget of around 10,000rs is flooded with a lot of smartphones these days which is pretty hard to choose what smartphone to go for.
So here are the top 5 picks under the sub 10,000rs in India that one should consider for buying-
1. RealMe 1
This is a sub-brand of popular smartphone manufacturer “Oppo” which has some awesome specs and performance going on. MediaTek Helio P60 is powering the show here with variant options of 3/32, 4/64 and 6/128 configurations. The 3/32 variant falls under the 10,000₹ category and should be able to perform pretty well under all conditions with those decent cameras i.e., 13MP Rear Shooter and 8MP front camera and some AI things added by Oppo to enhance its performance. Though it does not have any fingerprint sensor so the Face Unlock is the only biometrical option to unlock this phone which does work pretty fast but can be a deal breaker for many. The 3410mAh battery packing inside should be able to get the user through a day with that 2160×1080 (18:9) IPS LCD display. The Colour OS can be a hit and miss for many depending on preference and this device is also not recommended if one is into flashing Custom ROM and stuff.
{Do keep in mind that the 3/32 and 4/64 variant has a DDR3 RAM whereas the 6/128 has DDR4 RAM }

2. Redmi Y2
A solid performer from Xiaomi competing to its own Redmi 5 smartphone. This device is powered by one of the most used chipsets from Xiaomi i.e, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core chip. This device has some pretty good pair of cameras, 12MP + 5MP AI dual camera on the Rear for such Portrait shots and a 16MP camera on the front with some AI beautification things. As of now, this device runs on Xiaomi’s own MIUI 9.5 on Android Oreo 8.1. The battery is on a bit less side on paper which is just 3080mAH and is comparatively less to the competition and it also varies on a less than a full day to a full day depending on a load of usage.

3. Lenovo Z2 Plus
A pretty old device from Lenovo but was a stunning performer and it’s still worth considering it because now this device is available around 10K₹. The only downside could be the old 16:9 display and software updates which may or may not be worth depending on personal preference (but this device has a lot of 3rd parties XDA Development). This device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset which can anyday outperform its competition today, Period. The camera combination is 13MP Rear Camera and an 8MP Front Camera which is decent enough for usual social media posts and stuff.

4. Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1
Yes, this falls a bit above the 10K₹ budget it should be worth spending 1,000₹ extra for this device as its internal is damn worth the price one should be paying for! This device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset which is yet another powerful chipset than a Snapdragon 625 or 450. This device comes with a massive 5,000mAH battery so getting through a day on a single charge should be pretty easy and also it has those dual Rear Cameras (12MP + 5MP) for those Portrait Shots and an 8MP front Camera which is well capable enough to capturing moments.

5. Redmi Note 5
The successor to the last generation Redmi Note 4 which was a solid performer. Though it does not have a lot of upgrades runs on same Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. But the major upgrade is the display i.e., it is having that modern 18:9 display (2160×1080). Rest the camera is pretty mediocre and will get you good snaps only in good light. Though the battery life is again good as always and it should be a good alternative to the device listed above.
