In 2020 77% of the shipments of smartphones are Chinese. The latest research from Canalys shows us insight into the smartphone market in India. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic nation had a rough start, in Q1 there was an increase in smartphone shipments but Q2 2020 saw a decline in the shipments. Q3 has recorded the highest smartphone shipments in 2020 the market was able to recover quickly.

Xiaomi and Poco accounted for most of the smartphone market in Q4 2020 with 27% mean 12 million units. Samsung comes second with 9.2 million units with a 21% share, Vivo and Oppo came third and fourth in Q4 with 7.7 and 5.1 units with 18% and 135 shares. Realme was fifth in the market with 5.1 million units in Q4 2020.
