OnePlus 8 Lite: A Mid-range Smartphone by OnePlus
OnePlus is known for its flagship devices. It offers top of the line specs at an affordable price. 4 year back, the company has launched a mid-range smartphone, OnePlus X but it does not reach the same levels of popularity as the flagships OnePlus smartphone. Now, new CAD-based render of alleged OnePlus 8 Lite is shared by 91Mobiles and OnLeaks which shows a midrange OnePlus Smartphone with the punch-hole display. OnePlus 8 Lite Specifications
The renders show a design similar to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11 and Galaxy A91. As per the renders, OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will come a punch-hole display and the Lite variant will follow the same. However, instead of a centrally aligned rear camera setup of OnePlus 8/8 Pro, we will get camera setup on the left side of the OnePlus 8 Lite.
Design
From the renders, the device looks premium. It has a glass back panel which shows a gradient blue finish. On the top left corner, the rectangular camera module is present. 1+ logo is present in the middle while the OnePlus branding is present at the bottom. USB Type-C port is present at the bottom for charging and data syncing besides the speaker grill. However, OnePlus continues its legacy, there is no headphone jack! Alert slider, power button and volume rockers are present on sides. OnePlus 8 Lite measurements are expected to be approximately 159.2 x 74 x 8.6 mm.
Display
According to the OnLeaks, the screen size will be around 6.4″ to 6.5″. OnePlus 8/8 Pro will have a curved panel while this Lite variant will come with a flat display. OnePlus most likely will offer an AMOLED Display and an in-display fingerprint sensor because there is no physical fingerprint sensor on the back. A Punch-hole is present on the middle of the display, unlike the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro which have the punch hole on the left corner. It is going to be very interesting to see whether OnePlus will offer a 90Hz panel on the lite variant or not.
Camera
A single front camera is present in the punch-hole. There is a dual-camera setup on the back. There is no confirmation on the camera specifications yet. The rectangular camera module also houses the flashlight and most likely a ToF(Time of Flight) sensor is present just beside the camera module. The primary lens might be of 48MP or 64MP while the secondary lens will be a telephoto or ultrawide angle lens because the ToF sensor can be also used for the depth-sensing for portrait mode shots.

Performance and Battery
Company’s first mid-range smartphone OnePlus X was equipped with year’s flagship processor Snapdragon 801 which was also used in OnePlus One. Now OnePlus might go for the last-gen Snapdragon 8-series processor or they will equip a new Snapdragon 7-series processor. No confirmation on the battery capacity as well.
OnePlus 8 Lite India Launch
