The launch of Vivo V11 Pro is a revolutionary step in the Indian smartphone industry. Vivo is doing a great job in its niche but this phone will totally change the way we expect from Vivo. Vivo used to be one of those brands focusing only on marketing leaving the innovation factor but now they are back on the track with innovation. The V11 Pro has some innovative features like in display fingerprint sensor, waterdrop notch and 6 GB of Ram. The price of the phone is Rs 26000 making it a gap filler between mid-rangers and flagship devices.
Vivo V11 Pro Specifications
The v11 features 6.41 inches full HD Plus full view display with the resolution of 1080 X 2340 pixels. The phone runs on Android Oreo 8.1 along with its custom UI fun touch OS 4.5. it is powered by an octa-core CPU Snapdragon 660 by Qualcomm couple with Adreno 512 GPU. It has 6gb Ram and 64 GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256 GB with the micro SD card. There are dual cameras in the back with 12MP+5MP and a 25MP front camera. The Vivo V11 has in display fingerprint sensor in the lower part of the display.
Design
It has a waterdrop notch on top, not a regular notch making it bezel-less and an in display fingerprint sensor. This means a major part of the front side is covered by the screen. This gave us the screen to body ratio of more than 91%. In the back, there is a dual rear camera vertically placed and the front camera is placed in the notch which looks like just the camera space. Backside there is nothing else except the Vivo branding. The color options are Dazzling Gold and Starry night Black. Both look great from the back.
Camera
Rear cameras are vertically placed in the back. The dual cameras include a 12-megapixel front camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. There is dual pixel technology for low light photography and a fast autofocus. In the front, there is a 25-megapixel AI selfie camera with AR features. The front camera is one of the major highlights and gives a great performance. There are lots of options in the camera app.
Performance
The V11 Pro runs on Octa Core Processor Snapdragon 660 by Qualcomm. It is coupled with Adreno 512 GPU along with 6 GB of Ram and 64 GB storage. The storage can be expanded up to 256 GB via a microSD card. The Ram management is quite good with the 6 GB option and you can enjoy PUBG without lags. Performance is good but there are smartphones available at a cheaper rate like Honor play, Poco F1 etc which give the far better performance. But they don’t give you the design like V11 Pro, so you have to compromise on performance when compared to other brands.
Mid Ranger trying to be a flagship?
The Vivo V11 has a mid-range processor but trying to be a flagship phone. In terms of design and looks, it is better than any flagship device. It has the in display fingerprint sensor lacking in most of the flagships and a waterdrop notch aids more in the bezel lessness. It is somewhere between flagships and mid-range devices.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a phone with the best-looking design and good camera experience it is good for you. But if you want it for solely performance-oriented tasks then there are far better devices which are available out there at a cheaper rate.
