Vivo X30: Exynos 980, 5G and 60x Super Telephoto Periscope Camera
Vivo will be expanding its 5G smartphone lineup with the upcoming X30 series. The company is all set to launch two new smartphones Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro next month in China. Ahead of the official launch, Vivo has teased the 60x Super Telephoto camera of the X30 series. The company has already confirmed that the new phones will be powered by Exynos 980 SoC and it will have dual-mode 5G. There is no confirmation on the Vivo X30 India launch but the phone is expected to launch in China sometime early next month. Check out expected Vivo X30 specifications.
Vivo X30 Super Telephoto Periscope Camera
Vivo has posted a teaser video on Chinese site Weibo, which shows that the upcoming Vivo X30 series will implement a 60x Super Telephoto Periscope lens. We have seen this kind of periscope lens on Huawei P30 Pro in past. Even, Oppo Reno 10x uses the same 13MP Periscope lens which is capable of 60x zoom. Along with the Periscope lens, Vivo X30 will have a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The triple camera setup is present in a vertical array on the left side while the Pericpope lens is present just beside the camera set up above the dual LED Flash.
Vivo X30 Specifications
Vivo X30 series will have the Exynos 980 chipset under the hood. It is based on advanced 8nm FinFET process technology. Exynos 980 is Samsung’s first artificial intelligence (AI) mobile processor with an integrated 5G modem. Vivo X30 will also have dual-mode 5G support, SA (Standalone) and NSA (Non-Standalone). Vivo X30 will have up to 8GB of RAM while the Pro model will come with 12 gigs of RAM. The battery capacity might be 4,500mAh. Vivo X30 will have a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and the bigger brother Vivo X30 Pro will come with a larger 6.89-inch display. The phone has a small single punch-hole on the right side of the display.

Vivo X30 India Launch
