WhatsApp recently started rolling out the mute video feature before sharing the file. Earlier, this feature was on beta testing last month. However, WhatsApp now taking on Twitter announced that the new Mute Video Feature will be available for Android users.
The new Mute Video feature can be found on the video-editing screen. A volume icon will pop up and click on that volume icon will Mute the video.
In case you are a Beta tester, who has received the latest update but is trying to figure out how to use this feature, here are the simple steps you can follow to remove the unwanted audio from your video file.
Step 1: Update the app and launch it on your device.
Step 2: The Mute Video feature is available both for individual chat and Status mode.
Step 3: To make use of this feature, record a video (either on chat or status)
Step 4: After recording the video, a volume icon will appear on the left top corner. Tap on it to mute the video and you are ready to send it.
The new WhatsApp Mute Video feature is currently only available for Android devices. However, there is no confirmation about the IOS update yet.
