MWC or Mobile World Congress is all set to take the mobile world by storm. The most important phone show of the year is scheduled for February 24 to 27 and we are super excited for some amazing announcements. In this article, we will be talking about everything we can expect from MWC 2020. Without further ado let’s straight jump into it.
MWC 2020
Mobile World Congress is an annual event held by GSM Alliance in Barcelona, Spain. It is the world’s largest event where OEMs around the world showcase new mobile technology. Smartphones brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Sony, Huawei, Nokia and Realme will showcase their products and even Samsung is expected to announce its Galaxy S20 Series. Let’s check them out one by one.
Huawei & Honor
We are not expecting Huawei to announce the P40 series this early. So, most probably we will witness the 5G technology by Huawei at the MWC. Not just that but Huawei might also talk about the Android replacement – HarmonyOS. A successor to the Mate X, likely Mate Xs is also expected.
Huawei sub-brand Honor is definitely going to use the MWC stage to show off Honor View 30 Pro and 9X Pro which are already launched in China.
OnePlus
OnePlus usually don’t announce any new smartphone in tech events. We have seen the Concept One prototype phone at the CES 2020 and we are expecting something similar to that at the MWC as well. They might showcase the 120Hz refresh rate display which we will be going to see in the OnePlus 8 Pro.

Xiaomi
We can expect Xiaomi to announce the Mi 10 series of the smartphone. Mi 10 is confirmed to launch in the Q1 2020 and MWC will be the best time to announce in on a global stage. They might launch it in China before the event and then showcase to the global audience at the event.

Realme
Realme will be present at the MWC 2020 and they will showcase the 5G phone(s) on a global platform. Most likely we are going to see a global announcement of the Realme X50 5G which was launched in China a few weeks ago or we might see a new 5G phone powered by Snapdragon 865 5G SoC. Not just the smartphone, but Realme will try their hands on a bigger display as well. Realme India CMO has confirmed that we are going to hear something about the Realme TV at the MWC 2020.
Samsung
Samsung Unpacked Event is scheduled two weeks before the MWC and so we are not going to see any flagship but we can expect new midrange A series of smartphones.

Nokia
There is a lot of expectation from the Nokia or HMD Global this year at the Mobile World Congress. First of all, we could see Nokia 400 which will be the first feature phone with Android operating system, which is going to catch too many eyes for sure. However, there is no official confirmation on it. Secondary, the company told that they will launch smartphones with Snapdragon 765 and 865, so we can expect them to be launched at the event. Also, some new announcement about the 5G infrastructure is also expected. And, at last, we could see the budget and mid-range smartphones.
Motorola
Motorola could launch a flagship smartphone with Snapdragon 865. Also, Moto G8, G8 Plus and Moto G Stylus are also expected to be announced at the MWC 2020 event.

Vivo
Last year, Vivo has announced the Apex 2019 concept phone with a portless glass unibody design. This time also we are execting a concept phone from Vivo.
That’s all we are expecting from the MWC 2020. Are you guys excited for the Mobile World Congress?
