ColorOS 12 is the brand new custom skin that ships with Oppo smartphones. This is in addition to the latest stable version of Android 12 right now. So, ColorOS 12 on top of Android 12 is what the UI of the Oppo smartphone showcases. A good thing about Oppo is that every month it shares a list of smartphones that will get the ColorOS updates. It also provides a monthly roadmap for both beta versions, as well the stable version of their latest custom Android skin. Along with Samsung and OnePlus, Oppo is also becoming one of the OEMs that provides timely and regular updates to their smartphones. With the announcement of such a roadmap every month, Oppo has managed to keep things on track. The process is quite helpful for consumers and other Android OEMs should definitely consider adopting it. If your device is on the list, you will get the ColorOS12 update in the month of February 2022. All you have to do is go to Settings and manually check for the update.
