Realme X2 Pro has been launched in China, a face-off for the mighty Redmi K20 Pro. Since the launch of Poco, Xiaomi has been dominating the budget flagship segment in India for sure. Oneplus, which started this category, moved on and entered the premium flagship belt. Although Poco failed to launch a Pocophone F2 for whatsoever reason despite having one of the best sales graphs. Xiaomi banged the market with Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro series. Initially, market expectation made K20 seemed overpriced, although K20 Pro was always the champ in 2019. But now, everything’s headed in a different direction with Realme gripping roots in the game. Realme X2 Pro is Realme’s 1st attempt to face Redmi K20 Pro.
Realme X2 Pro vs Redmi K20 Pro – The naming:
The naming convention, however, is uncannily similar. Neither Realme X1 and X2 are previous-gen flagships, nor there exist any Redmi K10 or K1. Redmi named K20 Pro from “Killer 2.0” (of course, referring Poco as Killer 1.0). On the other hand, Realme managed to land on a similar naming device with Realme X2 Pro.
Realme X2 Pro vs Redmi K20 Pro:
Body:
Among these 2 offerings, Realme X2 Pro is weighed at 199gms and Redmi K20 Pro at 190gms. Although low weights are always preferable, they both are weighed under 200gms, so it shouldn’t be any issues. Nonetheless, they come with similar battery capacity.
Display:
They both come with AMOLED displays with almost similar resolution. However, Realme X2 Pro has a slightly larger screen, but with a v-shaped notch whereas K20 Pro has a pop-up mechanism.
Processor:
Redmi K20 Pro is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset whereas the new Realme X2 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 855+ which is not by a huge margin, but an improvement. In daily life, both should be excellent performers. However, when the comparison is about Realme X2 Pro vs Redmi K20 Pro, the edge would be on the side of Realme X2 Pro.

However, they are based on their custom skins on top of Android 9.0 Pie. Realme X2 Pro comes with ColorOS 6.1 and Redmi K20 Pro comes with MIUI 10. Needless to say, Android 10 is expected for them.
Memory:
They both come with 128/256GB storage variants with 8GB of RAMs equipped with that. However, they both lack dedicated MicroSD slots. In this department, Realme X2 Pro vs Redmi K20 Pro goes shoulder to shoulder.

Camera:
Redmi K20 Pro offers a triple camera setup whereas Realme X2 Pro has 4 of them at the rear. Although the 4th sensor is a 2MP depth sensor only, the edge surely belongs to Realme X2 Pro. Also, Redmi K20 Pro has a 48MP sensor whereas Realme has a 64MP brand new sensor coupled with 20x hybrid zoom. In the front, K20 Pro has a pop-up for the selfie, whereas X2 Pro has a v-notch.
Sensors:
Realme X2 Pro vs Redmi K20 Pro is almost equal in terms of sensors. All the required sensors are present. However, a thermal sensor is an addition in Redmi K20 Pro.
Battery:
They both come with 4000mAh batteries which should be sufficient for a day-long activity. They both support fast charging, but as usual, Realme is the one to include it in the box. Although, in terms of wireless charging, the corners are cut to reduce cost.
Miscellaneous:
They both have Bluetooth 5.0 and type-c ports, of course. Both of them, fortunately, have a 3.5mm headphone jack too. Coming with some extra features with their Custom User Interface that you can find in any other realme or Redmi devices.
