Starting 17th edition of Google Summer of Code (GSoC) on Friday, 29th January 2021, Google has announced that mentoring organizations having open-source projects can apply to participate in the 2021 program. GSoC is a programme in which students of 18 years and above having developmental skills can participate and contribute to open-source projects.
The programme would start for students from 7th of June where they will work on a coding project for 10 weeks. Students will get guidance and support from volunteer instructors from participating open source organizations. The aim of this program is to inspire young developers for participating in open source development projects.
