The government has provided the SSUP for everyone so that people can update their Aadhaar details themselves online. So the first question that arrives in mind is what is SSUP. Let us first briefly explain the SSUP to you.
What is SSUP?
SSUP stands for Self Service Update Portal available on the official UIDAI website. It allows the users to update the basic demographics data on their Aadhaar card. It can be used to update the Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Address, and Language. However, there is a limitation to use SSUP i.e. you will need to have your mobile number linked to the Aadhaar card as you will get the OTPs on your registered mobile number. Also, make sure that you have your relevant proof which you will need to upload as soon as you proceed with your application to prove your identity and changes.
How to Update Date of Birth on Aadhaar Card Online
Step 2: Under the My Aadhaar section, select Update Demographics Data Online.
Step 3: Select Proceed to update Aadhaar.
Step 4: Now enter your Aadhaar number, captcha, and tap on Send OTP button.
Step 5: The OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Then enter the OTP you receive.
Step 6: There select the Update Demographics Data.
Step 7: Select the option that you want to update. In this case, we are going for DOB as the article is DOB specific.
Step 8: Now enter your date of birth and verify that you have entered your correct date of birth.
Step 9: Upload the proof document and click on submit.
Step 10: Now you will be redirected to the online payment gateway.
Step 11: Enter the necessary details and make an online payment.
Step 12: After payment, you will be redirected to the final response page where you will get your URN (Update Request Number). Save it for future reference, it will help you to check your Aadhaar update status.
