Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has shared the images of the first centralized AC Railway Terminal in Karnataka which is soon going to be inaugurated. Railway Minister shared the images through a tweet and said “Have a glimpse of the upcoming Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal in Bengaluru, Karnataka, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.” The images shared by Piyush Goyal showed the interiors of the Railway station, railway tracks, new wide foot over bridge, and the entry of the Railway Station.
The Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal railway terminal has seven platforms with escalators and lifts connecting each of the platforms for easier movement between platforms. A foot over bridge and two subways have also be added for a better link between the platforms. The Railway Station is over 4200 sq meters which has a cost of Rs 314 crore. Over fifty trains can be served on a daily basis, reported Mint.
