Google Chrome has been updating its desktop app and has been trying to improve its user experience. And recently Google added a live captions option in the accessibility menu of the Chrome desktop settings. Also, a recent update added the reading list option in Chrome’s toolbar which allow users to save an article if they want to read it later. Now reports suggest that Google has been working on an update where it will allow users to disable the reading list option which is not currently available. However, we have got a solution for you to disable it if you are not willing to wait for the update.
Follow the steps below to disable the reading list option on your Chrome desktop app.
Step 1: Open Chrome on your desktop.
Step 2: Search for chrome://flags and hit ‘Enter’.
Step 3: Search for the ‘Reading List’ flag in the search box.
Step 4: Then click on the options and select disabled from the drop-down menu.
Step 5: At last restart your Chrome browser.
Voila!! You have disabled the reading list option from your toolbar.
